Victim Information Packet for Service Providers
These packets
contain various information and resources for victims of violence. They
were developed to disperse to service providers, such as doctors, RCMP,
hospitals and health care offices throughout the Central region.
Published Storybook on Bullying (English and French version)
This storybook, created by the committee, was released in
English in 2002 and French in 2005 to address bullying among primary and
pre-school students. To accompany this resource the committee launched a poster
in 2003. Both the book and the poster are used in schools across Canada.

Status of Women’s Council
In March 1999 we received funding to form a Status
of Women’s Council. This council was formed and the doors of the Women’s Centre
opened in 2002.
Co-facilitated
Groups for Survivors of Violence
In
partnership with Health and Community Services employees, the
Committee organized and conducted two groups:
1) A 16-week group for women who were survivors of childhood sexual assault
2) An 8-week group for women of children affected by domestic violence

Family Violence
